Buying & Enquiries

How do I buy a portable cabin or modular unit from Cabin Hub?

Browse our stock of new and used portable cabins, site offices, containers and welfare units, find the one you need, and click Enquire. There's no online checkout — our sales team in Toome, Co. Antrim handles your order directly, from pricing through to delivery across the UK and Ireland.

Can I buy a cabin online?

There's no online cart or checkout. Because every modular unit is individual and delivery is quoted per job, we use an enquiry-based process so you get an accurate price for your site — much like buying a vehicle through a dealer.

What happens after I submit an enquiry?

You'll see an on-screen confirmation and receive an automatic email with a reference number. Our team then follows up to confirm availability, pricing and delivery.

Do you sell new and used cabins?

Yes. We stock both new and quality used modular buildings — from site offices to anti-vandal cabins and storage containers — so there's an option to suit most jobs and budgets.

What does the serial number on each listing mean?

Every cabin has a unique serial number so you know exactly which unit you're enquiring about. It's included automatically when you enquire, so our team can identify the specific unit straight away.

Can I view a cabin before I buy?

Get in touch and we'll arrange a viewing at our yard, Unit 10, Tidal Industrial Estate, Toome, Co. Antrim, where possible.

Hiring

Can I hire a portable cabin instead of buying?

Yes. Most units show both a Buy Now price and a Hire From rate, so you can buy outright or hire site cabins, offices and welfare units for as long as you need.

Is there a minimum hire period?

Yes — the initial invoice covers a minimum of six weeks' cabin hire, paid in advance.

What does the first hire invoice include?

Six weeks' hire upfront, delivery charges, and collection charges (taken at the start so the end of hire is straightforward).

How is cabin hire billed after that?

After the first six weeks, hire is invoiced monthly in advance.

What does the serial number on each listing mean?

Every cabin has a unique serial number so you know exactly which unit you're enquiring about. It's included automatically when you enquire, so our team can identify the specific unit straight away.

Pricing & Payment

Are cabin prices shown on the website?

Yes — every listing shows both the Buy Now purchase price and the Hire From rate, so you can compare buying and hiring at a glance.

What are your payment terms?

For purchases, a 50% deposit secures the unit, with the balance due before delivery.

Is my deposit refundable?

Once paid, your deposit reserves the unit and takes it off the marketplace. If you cancel after that, the deposit is non-refundable, as it covers the lost sale and the admin in preparing your order.

Delivery & Installation

Do you deliver cabins across Northern Ireland and the UK?

Yes — we deliver portable cabins, modular buildings and storage containers across the UK and Ireland from our yard in Toome, Co. Antrim.

How much does cabin delivery cost?

Delivery is quoted per job, so you only pay for the distance and equipment your site needs, including any HIAB crane requirements. You'll get a clear delivery cost with your enquiry.

How long does delivery take?

Lead times vary by job, depending on the location and what's needed to get the unit into position. We'll confirm a realistic timescale once you enquire.

Do you install the cabin too?

Installation is quoted separately, alongside delivery. We'll position the unit and get it ready to use.

What do I need to prepare on site?

Clear access for an HGV, level ground that can take the unit's weight (concrete pads or railway sleepers work well), and no low branches or overhead power lines that could obstruct a crane. If you're unsure, ask us before you order.

Our Units

What types of portable cabin and modular unit do you offer?

Five categories: CTX, Mono Pitch Cabins, Containers, Anti-Vandals and Jackleg Cabins — covering site offices, welfare units, canteens, drying rooms, secure storage and more.

What is an anti-vandal cabin?

A heavy-duty steel-clad portable cabin with secure steel doors and shutters, built to stay secure on exposed or higher-risk sites — ideal for site offices and secure storage.

What is a jackleg cabin?

A portable cabin that sits on adjustable steel legs at each corner, commonly used as site offices, canteens and welfare units. The legs make it quick to position and level on site.

Are the photos of the actual cabin I'll receive?v

Images are for illustration. We aim to photograph each unit by serial number, but minor variations may exist between the photo and the unit supplied.

Do you refurbish cabins?

Yes. We refurbish units to meet our safety and quality standards, which is how we keep our used stock to a high standard.

After Your Order

Can I return a cabin?

Once delivered and signed for, returns aren't accepted unless the unit is proven structurally unsound or significantly not as described at the point of sale.
